Cowra Harness Racing Club conducted its 2016 Carnival Of Cups today, the 29th of May, with a 7-race meeting. 7 horses with Parkes connections raced in 4 races.
Terry Powter trained horse, Mod Conns, finished 3rd in Race 4, Jack & Jill Memorial Pace. While Brian Cunningham's Pedros Joy finished 2nd in Race 5, Jack Honan Memorial Final.
Among the Parkes locals spotted in the event were Bill Palmer, Tony Dumesny, Norman Valdez, Terrie Prior, Terry Powter, Ricky Hunt, Ron Hunt, Julie Hunt, and Ron Jones.
