On the 29th of October 2016, Harness Racing New South Wales (HRNSW) held the HRNSW Industry Awards Night at the Sheraton On The Park in Sydney. The event was attended by about 300 people from the industry - drivers, trainers, owners, club officials and volunteers.
A number of awards were given to different harness racing clubs in New South Wales; and Parkes Harness Racing Club won the the award for its category, "Best Club With A Maximum Feature Race of $25,000".

Also from Parkes, Mr. Les Peters receive the honor and award for the "Club Volunteer Award", together with Robert Pettit from Leeton Harness Racing Club.
